Prof. Dr. Alfons Balmann is agricultural economist and director at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultral Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) and head of the department Structural Change. Moreover, he serves as member of the Scientific Advisory Board Agricultural Policy, Food of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
